Field Trip Planning

Project Brief.

Geography and biology field trips for universities, colleges and schools are a fantastic way of bringing syllabuses to life; but the administrative burden to their planning and organisation can be off-putting.

Itinerary and logistical planning

From advice on the feasibility of suitable destinations to fulfil your field trip requirements to covering exact venues and teaching opportunities at each location. This plan also includes the nitty-gritty of transport and accommodation options, bad weather alternatives and suitable local providers and guides.

Risk assessment

Analysis of specific environmental and activity risks are made in order to give recommendations which will reduce the likelihood and severity of incidents.

Incident management plan

This concise document conveys what to do if an incident does occur. A communication plan together with location of the best medical facilities are collated to be at your finger tips if needed.

Recces

A full recce of the destination and venues for your field trip. This maybe be recommended as standard depending on the destination.

Training

Specific destination and environment training for field trips. Whether it is for urban environments or crevasse rescue training for glacial crossings.
